Born in
Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in 1887, Beatrice Fenton studied in
the School of Industrial Art at the Philadelphia Academy of Fine
Art. She was a member of the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts,
as well as the Philadelphia Art Alliance Association of Women
Painters and Sculptors, Natural Sculpture Society, and the Plastic
Club.
Beatrice Fenton won several awards for her
sculpture. She also has works on display at the Philadelphia
Art Club, Fairmont Park, Charles M. Schimity Memorial Academy
of Music, and at the "Fairy Fountain" in Wister Park,
Philadelphia.
Beatrice Fenton taught sculpture at the Moore
Institute of Art, Science and Industry from 1942-1953, in Philadelphia,
Pennsylvania. She was known for her sculptures dealing with water.
