Pyrus calleryana Decne. is a deciduous tree, native to China. Shown is 'Redspire', a cultivar with a pyramidal form. This is a beautiful flowering ornamental, however, the flowers give off a strong odour of bad fish. For further information, see the Virginia Cooperative Extension.
