Buddleia davidii Franch. is a deciduous shrub native to China. The butterfly bush has become naturalized in California. This specimen is found in our Butterfly Garden, north of the Pergola. Here an eastern tiger swallowtail, light phase (Papilio glaucus) is shown drinking nectar.
