Conference Presenter Guidelines Basic guidelines regarding each type of presentation were included in the acceptance email you received. Additional details are provided below, and you can also contact Dr. Rebecca Glover at AME2012@unt.edu if you have additional questions
Poster Presentations
All poster presentations will be scheduled during a single session.
The poster board surface area will be 4 feet (122 cm) high and 8 feet
(244 cm) wide. In preparing your poster, please remember conference
participants will need to be able to clearly read your materials from a
distance of at least 4 feet (122 cm). We will provide push pins for
hanging your poster. Throughout the entire Poster Session and Reception,
refreshments will be provided, including a variety of
Hors d’Oeuvres, beverages and
a cash bar.
Paper Presentations
Papers presentations will be organized
according to topic/theme, with three (3) papers scheduled in each
session. Please check the Conference Program once it is posted to the
website to verify the specific date and time for which this presentation
has been scheduled. Each presentation will be allotted 25 minutes, to
include both presentation and 5 minutes of questions from the audience.
We are able to provide an LCD projector
for your presentation, but you will need to provide all other equipment
you might need (e.g., laptop, computer speakers, overhead projector,
etc.). Session chairs will contact each presenter by email in order to
coordinate the equipment needs. It is strongly recommended that all
presenters arrive in their schedule room at least 10 minutes before the
session is scheduled to begin in order to address any unexpected set-up
issues and to avoid any delays in beginning the session’s presentations.
In consideration of the presenters scheduled in the room after your
session ends, we also ask that all presenter-supplied equipment be
disconnected as soon as the session time has ended
Symposium Presentations
Symposia
presentations will run concurrently with other Paper Sessions. Please
check the conference Program once it is posted to the website to verify
the specific date and time for which this symposia has been scheduled.
Each symposium will be scheduled for a total of 75 minutes, which
includes the time allotted for questions. We ask that symposia
organizers work with all members of your symposia in determining how
best to use this time. We are able to provide an LCD projector for your presentation, but you will need to provide all other equipment you might need (e.g., laptop, computer speakers, overhead projector, etc.). It is strongly recommended that all presenters arrive in their schedule room at least 10 minutes before the session is scheduled to begin in order to address any unexpected set-up issues and to avoid any delays in beginning the session’s presentations. In consideration of the presenters scheduled in the room after your session ends, we also ask that all presenter-supplied equipment be disconnected as soon as the session time has ended.
