DESCRIBE YOUR CAREER PATH:
After graduating Salisbury University I worked at 'Seacrets: Jamaica, USA' night club in Ocean City, as a Sound Engineer for live bands. This led to creating videos and commercials for the venue. In 2012 I moved to New York City and started freelancing as an Assistant Editor, jumping from show to show every few months until I landed at Leopard Films in late 2012. I was then moved onto their flagship show, House Hunters International, where I worked as an Assistant Editor and helped on their pilots and other projects. In subsequent years I moved up to an Associate Story Producer and Lead Assistant Editor, until getting promoted to Editor in 2016.
MOST IMPORTANT THING YOU LEARNED WHILE ATTENDING SALISBURY UNIVERSITY:
The most important thing I learned was interpreting story and film/media style. Through my Communication Arts and Film courses I learned a critical and stylistic eye that have helped me throughout my career.
WHAT CAMPUS ACTIVITIES/ORGANIZATIONS WERE YOU INVOLVED WITH?
Future Filmmakers, Film Club, Lambda Pi, Eta Phi ,Kappa Phi Honor Society, National Broadcasting Society, National Society of Leadership and Success.
BEST COLLEGE MEMORY:
Being snowed in at Chesapeake Hall during the 'Snowpocalypse' blizzard of 2010.
WHY DID YOU CHOOSE SALISBURY UNIVERSITY?
I chose Salisbury for the in-state tuition and state-of-the-art Media and Film programs.
IF YOU COULD DESCRIBE SALISBURY UNIVERSITY IN THREE WORDS, WHAT WOULD THEY BE AND WHY?
Collaborative (lots of group projects and learning how to combine ideas), Manageable (not a big school, not a small school, decent class sizes), Immersive (through Media Production, I learned many different facets of the industry, be that audio, video, or story, that helped benefit my career)
FAVORITE VACATION SPOT AND WHY?
Ocean City, MD. It's home!
My short film, 'The Laughing Heart' was featured in the Cork, Ireland International Film Festival, and my feature length script "Accident' was quarterfinalist in the Sundance Screenwriters Lab.
WHAT IS SOMETHING PEOPLE DON'T KNOW ABOUT YOU?
I'm an identical twin.
