Assigned Advisor

Each student entering Salisbury University
will be assigned a faculty advisor or professional advisor.
Your assigned advisor will:
- Assist students in
exploring areas of study. Helping students choose the
appropriate general education courses,
selecting majors, minors, and tracks.
- Have a minimum of
five office hours each week. These hours will be posted on
your Faculty Advisor’s door or website.
- Communicate degree
requirements, curriculum, graduation requirements, and
policies/procedures to students.
- Listen to students
and confidentially advise them. Faculty Advisor’s will not
speak with your parents about your academics.
- Refer students to
other offices when appropriate.
- Provide accurate
information to students.
Your advisor will be assigned by the first
week of the semester when you start at Salisbury. To learn
who your advisor is, log into GullNet and through Self Service,
enter your Student Center. You will see your advisor's name
displayed within the right-hand column of your Student Center.
