of the many support services offered to students at Salisbury
University is academic advising.
SU uses a faculty advising model, with the guiding
principle that effective advising occurs when there exists a
partnership between the advisor and the advisee.
Academic advisors are provided for all
matriculated full-time degree seeking students.
Students who have declared a major are assigned a faculty
advisor from their major department.
Students who have not declared a major are assigned
faculty or professional advisors by the Office of Academic
Affairs. Faculty academic advisors are listed in the
Student Center area of GullNet.
