Scholarship Application Information for Phi Theta Kappa Members

  • Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship Application Deadline:

    March 1, 2014


  • The $50.00 admission application fee is waived for members of PTK. Proceed to the payment section of the admission application and select the appropriate fee waiver.*

Scholarship Awards:

  • In-State: $2,000 per year; renewable for four semesters providing the student maintains full-time status and a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 at SU.
  • Out-of State: $3,000 per year; renewable for four semesters providing the student maintains full-time status and a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 at SU.

Scholarship and Eligibility Information:

  • Applicants must have earned a minimum of 60 transferable semester hours.
  • Applicants must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.50, including all colleges attended
  • Official transcripts must verify a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.50 and 60 transferable semester hours, or the scholarship, if awarded, will be rescinded.
  • The application for admission, the PTK scholarship application, and official transcripts from all colleges attended must be received by the Office of Admissions by March 1.
  • Along with the academic profile, leadership roles and community service will also be considered.
  • Scholarships are considered only for students entering in the fall semester, and the last institution attended must be a community college.
  • Students who have earned a bachelor’s degree, international students, and students who will attend SU on a part-time basis are not eligible for this scholarship.
  • PTK decision letters will be mailed in April.

* The $50.00 admissions application fee cannot be refunded if it has already been paid.
