Steps to Verification
Step One: Notification
Any student selected for verification who has been admitted or currently attending SU will be receive notification regarding the appropriate federal verification worksheet/form that must be completed as well as required supporting documentation that must be submitted.
- Incoming students are initially notified via US postal service. PLEASE note: Incoming students will be assigned their SU e-mail address during Orientation. Until then, our office sends reminder notifications to the e-mail address provided on your Admission’s application.
- Current students are notified via SU e-mail. PLEASE note: This is our main form of communication. It is your responsibility to read these notices. If you choose to forward your SU e-mail, you are still responsible for the information.
Step Two: Review the “To Do List” and Take Action
All students can view the verification documents required. These items are marked as “Initiated.”
To review your “To Do List”
- Log on to the GullNet
- A successful Log On will open the SA Self Service menu. Follow these "breadcrumbs" to access your To Do List.
- Self Service > Campus Personal Information > To Do List
Please comply with the required “Initiated” items by the published due date. We will send reminders to your e-mail until such time as all requests have been met. Please note, failure to complete verification will delay disbursement of aid. Allow 2-4 weeks processing time once we receive all required documents. However, during our peak processing period, May through August, this process could take considerably longer. Once our office verifies the information, your initial aid offer will be confirmed or recalculated. If your aid offer is recalculated you will be notified by our office.
We strongly encourage all parents and students to email scanned documents to: email@example.com as it greatly reduces the amount of time required to complete a review.
If you do not have access to a scanner, please fax documentation to: (410) 543-6138.
Documents may also be mailed to our office; however this considerably lengthens the completion timeframe: Salisbury University, 1101 Camden Avenue, Salisbury, MD 21801 Attn: Financial Aid Office
