Fall 2023

August 24
New Student Move-In from 6:30 a.m. - 1 p.m. (Freshmen and Transfers who are new to SU). Specific move-in times will be sent to students via their placement letters beginning July 15. Early Arrivals should contact their program directors/coaches for additional information.

August 26-27
Returning Student Move-In 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. (Chesapeake Hall, Dogwood Village, Sea Gull Square and Sea Gull Village). Specific dates/times will be assigned.

November 21
Residence Halls close for Thanksgiving Break at 8 p.m. (excludes Sea Gull Square and Sea Gull Village)

November 26
Residence Halls reopen at 10 a.m.

December 19
Residence Halls close for Winter Break at 7 p.m. (excludes Sea Gull Square and Sea Gull Village)

 

Spring 2024

January 3
Winter Term Move-In (Severn Hall), 10am-4pm. Winter Term classes begin January 4.

January 26
New Student Move-In (Freshmen and Transfer Students who have not previously attended SU) 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. New Student Orientation also begins this day.

January 27-28
Returning Student Move-In. These days are for students who attended SU fall 2023.

March 15
Residence Halls close for Spring Break at 8 p.m. (excludes Sea Gull Square and Sea Gull Village).

March 24
Residence Halls reopen at 10 a.m.

May 22
Residence Halls (including Sea Gull Village) close at 8 p.m. (excludes Sea Gull Square).

July 31
Sea Gull Square students not returning for fall 2024 must move out by 12 p.m. Those moving internally within the building should contact the Housing Office for further information.

 

Summer 2024

May 28
Summer Session I Move-In 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. Classes begin May 29.

July 3
Summer Session I Move-Out 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. Those students continuing into Summer Session II do not have to move out.

July 7
Summer Session II Move-In 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. Classes begin July 11.

July 31
Sea Gull Square students not returning for fall 2023 must move out by 12 p.m. Those moving internally within the building should contact the Housing Office for further information.

August 9
Summer Session II Move-Out 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.
