Tuesday, September 14: Time’s Up: A Guide to Time Management
Feeling overwhelmed? Do you often wish there were more hours in the day? Do you
rush through assignments? We all feel like we could use a little more time, but
if you are causing yourself undue stress, you could benefit from better time
management strategies. During this interactive workshop, students will identify
how they are using their time; learn how to prioritize and how to maintain a
balanced schedule.
Tuesday, September 21: Test-Taking 101: Study Smarter, Not Harder
The word “test” often elicits feelings of fear, panic and dread. Students often
confuse their lack of test preparation with text anxiety, but with helpful tips
from the CSA, students can breathe a sigh of relief. Students attending this
workshop will learn tips and tricks for test taking as well as effective study
strategies.
Tuesday, September 28: Jot it Down: A better guide to taking notes
Everyone has their own method for taking notes, but they aren’t all effective.
Good note-taking skills can help students earn better grades on tests, stay more
organized and focused and good notes serve as great study guides. Students
attending the workshop will learn how to stay organized, listen effectively and
take better notes!
Tuesday, October 5: A Guide to Better Presentations
Uhhh…Ummm……Does this sound like you when speaking in public? Join us for a fun
interactive presentation on presentations. We may not be able to get rid of your
butterflies, but we can at least get them flying in formation!
Have a hard time forcing yourself to study? Tempted by social activities? We can
all use a little motivation at times. This workshop is designed to PUMP….YOU
UP!! We’ll discuss different tips on how to stay motivated and set goals to get
you where you want to be.
If you missed the note-taking and test-taking workshops earlier in the semester,
now is your chance to learn about effective study strategies, tips and tricks
for test-taking and how to stay organized and focused. Better notes lead to
better student guides leading to better test grades -- a great cycle of
continued success!

“Jeopardy” game show format to learn how to prepare for a good night’s sleep,
relax and get some ZZZZ’s! Categories include: You are what you eat; Bed time
rituals; The science of sleep; In the bedroom and Don’t do it! Join in the fun
and learn how to include sleep in your busy college life!
