Q: What are your office hours?
A. We are
open Mondays - Wednesdays 9 a.m. - 7 p.m., Thursdays &
Fridays 9 a.m. - 5 p.m., and Sundays 4 p.m. - 10 p.m.
Q: How do I make an appointment?
A. You
may call 410-677-4865 during our office hours to make an
appointment or you can stop by GUC room 213!
Q: How much do your services cost?
A. All services
are free to you!
Q: What types of services do you offer?
A. Our services
include, but are not limited to, the following: weekly student
success workshops, information about scholarship opportunities,
tutoring resources, leadership skills, and professional
preparation.
Q: If I need help with time management,
study skills, etc. can the CSA help me?
A. Absolutely.
We offer weekly workshops on a variety of student success
topics. If you miss a specific workshop just make an
appointment and we will go over the material one-on-one.
Q: If I have
questions about advising where do I go?
A. Check
on gullnet to see who your advisor is and make an appointment
with your advisor. If you are still deciding on a major, come
to the CSA or to Career Services and we can help.
Q: Who are the tutors?
A. The
math department offers tutoring Mondays – Thursdays. Please

Pusey host a variety of workshops throughout the semester.
Q: Can I get help with my writing
skills?
A. The
University Writing Center across the hall in GUC Room 206 can
help you with all your writing needs.
Q: How long are the workshops?
A. The workshops
vary in length from 30 to 60 minutes. We are happy to come out
to the residence halls to offer workshops as well. Ask your RA
to set up a workshop for your floor!
Q: May I use the computers?
A. Yes! As long
as they are not in use for training or tutoring sessions, they
may be used by all students.
Q: Can the CSA help me obtain
information about scholarships and honors programs?
A. Yes. The CSA
can help you through the application process and provide you
with more information regarding prestigious awards and
scholarships.
Q: Can the CSA help me become a more
effective leader on campus?
A. Absolutely.
The CSA is hosting the Leadership Challenge Workshop Series
which helps students sharpen their leadership skills. For more

Math Assessment
Who is required to take the Salisbury
University Math Assessment through ALEKS?
A. All incoming first-year students are required to
take the Math Assessment through ALEKS.
Q: How do I access the Math
Assessment through ALEKS?
A: All incoming first-year students must access the
math assessment online through
www.ALEKS.com .
Q: Is the Math Assessment Free?
A: The assessment is offered free of
charge. Please know that your course schedules
will not be altered
or change based on your performance, and there is
no cost associate with taking the assessment.
This will simply help us determine how best to support you and
to help ensure your success.
Q: Why would I access the "Assessment + Learning"
Module of ALEKS?
A: The purpose of the Math Assessment
is to help you better understand your math competency, and to
establish what support if any, might be appropriate to help
ensure your success. You may choose after you
take the online assessment to take a learning module to increase
your knowledge. The Learning Modules are
available in the Center for Student Achievement (GUC 213) and in
the Math Tutoring Lab (Henson 117).
