Q: What are your office hours?
A.
During the summer we are
open Monday -
Friday 8 a.m. -
4:30 p.m., closed
Saturday and Sunday. During the school year we are open
Monday -Thursday 8 a.m.- 9 p.m., Friday 8 a.m.- 5 p.m.,
closed Saturday, and open Sunday 5 p.m.- 9 p.m.
Q: How do I make an appointment?
A. You
may call 410-677-4865 during our office hours to make an
appointment or you can stop by GUC room 213!
Q: How much do your services cost?
A. All services
are free to you!
Q: What types of services do you offer?
A.
Our services include, but are not limited to, the following:
Study Skills workshops (upon request), tutoring,
Academic coaching, Supplemental Instruction, and more.
Q: If I need help with time management,
study skills, etc. can the CSA help me?
A.
Absolutely. We offer workshops (upon request) on a variety of student success
topics. If you miss a specific workshop just make an
appointment and we will go over the material one-on-one.
Q: If I have
questions about advising where do I go?
A. Check
on GullNet to see who your advisor is and make an appointment
with your advisor. If you are still deciding on a major, come
to the CSA or to Career Services and we can help.
Q: Who are the tutors?
A.
The tutors are
Salisbury University students who have taken and passed the
course they are tutoring with a grade of "A." All of our tutors
are faculty-recommended and are trained in tutoring techniques
to help you succeed!
Q: Can I get help with my writing
skills?
A. The
University Writing Center across the hall in GUC Room 206 can
help you with all your writing needs.
Q: How long are the workshops?
A. The workshops
vary in length from 30 to 60 minutes. We are happy to come out
to the residence halls to offer workshops as well. Ask your RA
to set up a workshop for your floor!
Q: May I use the computers?
A. Yes! As long
as they are not in use for training or tutoring sessions, they
may be used by all students.
Q: Can the CSA help me obtain
information about scholarships and honors programs?
A. Yes. The CSA
can help you through the application process and provide you
with more information regarding prestigious awards and
scholarships.
