It is my hope to
ascertain the knowledge needed to better meet the needs of the ESOL
students in the Wicomico County school system
- I also hope to
use the information gained to help create an ESOL program in the
county that has more continuity with regard to curriculum and testing
for ESOL students
- Parental
involvement is crucial to help these students in the classroom thus
after-school programs, technology nights, homework clubs, and Perks
for Parents programs would be implemented to encourage the building of
this bond

better meet the diverse student population in the county, staff,
in-service programs sharing ESOL strategies and cultural awareness
would also be of utmost importance and could be implemented during
faculty meetings or teacher in-service days
