How do I enroll for Internship Credit?

To successfully enroll in an ABLE Internship, follow the steps below in order.
1.

Be cleared academically to participate in an internship.

This includes being admitted to the Perdue School of Business and completing any pre-requisites for your major.  To be sure you are cleared, CLICK HERE.

2. Attend Junior Orientation.

Junior Orientation is usually scheduled within the first 2-3 weeks of the fall or spring semester.  All juniors in the Perdue School must attend.

3.

Attend an ABLE Internship Workshop and the Pre-Internship Seminar at least one semester prior to enrolling in an internship for credit.

For a schedule of upcoming internship workshops, CLICK HEREFinance or Information Systems majors who will be enrolling in a practicum or experiential learning course to satisfy their ABLE requirement do not need to attend an ABLE workshop. Economics majors do not have to enroll in an ABLE workshop.

4. Purchase an ABLE Internship Workbook.

ABLE Workbooks cost $15 and are purchased directly from the ABLE office located in Student Services, Holloway Hall.  To purchase a book, please place $15 on your GullCard before coming to Student Services to purchase your workbook.  Workbooks can only be paid for using your GullCard!

5. Find and secure an internship.
Internships can be found using eRecruiting or created through personal networks.  As part of the job seeking process, students need to apply, interview, and be selected for an internship prior to registering for an internship course for credit.   The selection of a student by a company will be very similar to selection for employment.  The ABLE office does not place students in internships.  However, if you have any questions or are having problems finding an internship please contact the ABLE office for guidance.

Be sure to open an eRecruiting account and upload your resume!
