Dr. Ellen Neufeldt Biography

Dr. Ellen Neufeldt, Vice President of Student Affairs, joined Salisbury University in August 2005. She is committed to fostering a positive learning environment that encourages student success. Locally, Dr. Neufeldt is a member of Shore Leadership’s Class of 2006 and the Wicomico Rotary Club.

Prior to coming to SU, Dr Neufeldt served as Assistant Vice Chancellor for Student Development and Dean of Student Life at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. While at UTC, she chaired the Retention Committee and Student Service Task Force, created a new student success center, supervised 10 departments, advised several student organizations, and was a member of the graduate faculty in counselor education. She was named the Southeastern Panhellenic Advisor of the Year in 2000, Outstanding Student Organization Advisor in1998, and a Mortar Board Outstanding Faculty Member in1999.

Professionally, Dr. Neufeldt has been an active member of the National Association for Student Personnel Administrators and the Southern Association for College Student Affairs. She has also served as a facilitator for the University of Tennessee Leadership Institute for Tennessee Higher Education Administrators and Staff.

Dr. Neufeldt holds a Doctorate of Education from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville as well as a Master of Arts Degree in counselor education and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Tennessee Technological University. Furthermore, she has participated in Model-Netics, Management and Communication Program and Harvard Institute for Educational Management.
