Hello prospective December
graduate from the MSW program!
Each year at this time students are
bombarded with dates and requests to RSVP for all the end of the
semester events that will take place in honor of you, the MSW
This page is to help you understand and
make sense of what will be happening so you can make informed
Here are some events that you will be
hearing about in the next few weeks:
Licensing Exam Preparation Workshop (Usually scheduled
during the Winter semester) – sponsored
by the social work department, presented by Dr. Root –
this workshop is for any current graduating or previous MSW student who is considering
taking the licensing exam. Find out about the application
process, overview of the exam, and tips for taking the exam. All
participants will be given access to a practice exam. Cost to
help defray rooms and materials: $35
Phi Alpha Honor
Society Induction (May) – sponsored by the social work
department Phi Alpha Honor Society – this event is for members
of the Phi Alpha Honor Society and their families to honor students who have
achieved the GPA and met the criteria for an invitation to the
honor society and are being inducted.
Graduate Commencement -
(Tentative-December 13, 2014, time TBD, Wicomico Youth and Civic Center) – sponsored by
the University, this ceremony includes all graduating Master’s students from
all graduate programs across campus. You walk across the stage,
are hooded and receive your (replica) diploma.
Limited tickets will be distributed for family and friends. You
will wear your cap and gown.
