Starting fall semester 2007,
Salisbury University inaugurates its off-campus
Satellite Programs, offering its Bachelor of Arts in
Social Work and Master of Social Work programs at
satellite locations located at Cecil Community College
in Elkton, Maryland; the Eastern Shore Higher Education
Center at Chesapeake College in Wye Mills, Maryland;
and, the University System of Maryland at Hagerstown
campus in downtown Hagerstown, Maryland.
Courses in the satellite program are "blended", meaning
they use the latest technology to combine conventional
face-to-face presentations with fully interactive live
video and on-line instruction from SU's faculty.
These innovative programs permit students to complete
their degrees in their local communities.
The programs are designed with the working student in
mind with evening and summer courses. The academic
load is approximately nine credits per semester.
Since some of the class work is completed on-line, actual
classroom time is reduced.
All of SU's undergraduate and graduate social work
programs are fully accredited by the Council of Social
Work Education, a must for earning licensure. For additional information refer to our
Satellite Program brochure.
