Mission Statement
Salisbury University's mission is to cultivate and

Professional
Education Unit
The Seidel School is the professional education unit for teacher
education and school personnel programs. The unit head is the Seidel
School Dean.
The Teacher Education Council (TEC) serves as both
an advisory and policy making council. TEC advises in all matters related
to the preparation of teachers and school personnel at SU. The professional
education unit's conceptual
framework provides the construct for program teacher education and
school personnel program development and revision.
The Teacher Education Advisory Council (TEAC) serves
as an external advisory council. TEAC advises in all matters related to
the preparation of teachers and school personnel at SU.

Advising
The Academic Advising Services at SU and in the Seidel
School of Education and Professional Studies play a key role in facilitating
student growth and development. The primary purpose of advising is to
assist students in the development of meaningful educational plans that
are compatible with their career and life goals. Questions regarding course
