Consider becoming a Certified Nonprofit Professional here at Salisbury University!
Salisbury University has partnered with the Nonprofit Leadership Alliance (NLA) to offer the Certified Nonprofit Professional (CNP) credential to undergraduates. The program is open to students from any major and pursuit of the certificate typically will not add to the time required to graduate.
As a student in the Nonprofit Leadership Alliance certificate program, you will have the opportunity to:
Receive real-world nonprofit training
Complete an in-depth internship
Gain experience in program planning and fundraising
Take courses designed to prepare you for work in the nonprofit sector
Elective Course: Check with Dr. Bown for an updated list of electives. Courses can be taken in CADR, CMAT, PSYC, and SOWK, among others (3-4 credits)
Evidence of leadership and of addressing Alliance competencies: Through participation in the SU student United Way organization and/ or other activities
NLA Enrollment: $25 and $35 registration fees apply
AmeriCorps Members: 300 hours of AmeriCorps service at a 501(c)(3) (nonprofit organization) (6 credits). $1,222 education award gifted for successful completion of hours. Additional training and performance evaluation required.
Non-AmeriCorps Members: 300 hours at a 501(c)(3) (nonprofit organization) (6 credits). Requirements can be completed through one's major of through IDIS 490.
