Private Lessons for Strings
(Violin, Viola, Cello and Bass), Piano, Voice, Guitar and most
Orchestral and Band Instruments
Scheduled on weekday afternoons or Saturday mornings. Specific
days and times are decided upon between instructor and parent/student.

The preparatory division of music at Salisbury University
offers quality music instruction to students of all ages,
levels, and abilities in the Salisbury community and surrounding
areas. It is housed in Fulton Hall where participating students
and their parents have the opportunity to access SU Music
Department’s facilities, faculty expertise and students. Private
lessons in strings, piano, voice, and most orchestral and band instruments are
available. All professional teachers are experienced and have a
minimum of a bachelor’s degree in music. All student teacher
interns have been approved by the Department of Music.

- 12 lessons in the fall semester/12 lessons in the spring
semester
- Half hour; forty-five minutes; or one hour lessons
- Private lessons in strings (violin, viola, cello, and
bass), piano, voice, guitar and most orchestral and band instruments
Except for piano, students are responsible for obtaining their
own instruments.

Policies
Attendance: Regular attendance is
expected of all students. Exceptions include: teacher absence,
school closing. If SU is closed, there will be no lessons (or
student illness). Students are allowed one absence per term. The
teacher must receive a call by 10:00 a.m. on the day of the
absence in order to be considered an excused absence.
Payment: Students
must pay at least 50% of the tuition plus the $10 registration fee before
lessons begin. By the end of the 4th lesson, payment
is due for the rest of the 12 week term.
Refunds:
- All make up lessons for student illness will be
forfeited upon early withdrawal from prep school.
- Refunds will not be given for withdrawal during the last
3 weeks of the term.
