The SU Libraries MakerLab is a place where SU students, faculty, and staff, as well as members of the wider community, can come together to create, build, learn, and just have fun.
We offer 3D printing and scanning, single-board computers and microcontrollers like the Raspberry Pi and the Arduinio, virtual reality, and much more. Visitors can come to the MakerLab to experiment with new technology, build prototypes for personal or school projects, print replacement parts for all kinds of hardware, learn from others interested in technology and design, and so much more. The lab can be busy at times, so be sure to check our device availability page to see if the device you want to use is currently available.
During the Summer 2018 session, the MakerLab will be closed while we relocate to a new, larger space within the Guerrieri Academic Commons. We will re-open in August 2018.
We are happy to announce that we are now taking appointments for 3D printing. We are offering these appointments on a trial basis for the remainder of the Fall 2016 semester. You can schedule a 3D printing appointment to let us know that you're coming, and we will do our best to ensure that a printer is available for you when you come. However, please note that these are appointments not reservations, and you may still need to wait once you arrive.
A limited number of appointments are available per day, and you may only have one active appointment at a time. To see a full list of our appointment policies and to schedule an appointment, visit our appointment page.
