Mobile Device Policy
The following policies apply to the
circulation of mobile devices (including laptops, netbooks, and
iPads/tablets), and should be read and
thoroughly understood prior to checking out a device.
Devices can only be
checked out by SU Library primary patrons
including current students, faculty & staff.
A current Gull Card
must be presented each time a device is checked
The Library reserves
the right to refuse service to anyone who abuses
equipment or is repeatedly late in returning
Availability & Time Limits:
Laptops/Netbooks cannot be reserved ahead of time and are
checked out on a first-come, first-served basis.
Some iPads can be
reserved online at least 1 week in advance.
Laptops/Netbooks can be checked out for
and may be renewed.
iPads/Tablets can be checked out for 1 week and
may be renewed once.
Laptops/Netbooks are for use in the library only and
cannot be taken out of the building.
iPads/Tablets may be taken out of the building.
Devices must be checked in 30 minutes prior to
closing or 11:30 p.m.,
whichever is earlier.
