Inaugural SAP TERP10 Certification Course

The first SAP TERP10 (Integration of Business Processes in SAP ERP) certification course was offered through the Information & Decision Sciences Department January 6-17 by Dr. Karen Papke-Shields and Dr. Kathie Wright.  Students who are successful in the TERP10 certification course become an SAP Certified Associate – the entry level consulting certification from SAP.  Such success is external validation of these students’ understanding of the steps, the information flows, and the accounting implications of the numerous processes addressed in the course:

  • Order-to-cash
  • Procure-to-pay
  • Manufacturing planning and execution
  • Project systems
  • Human capital management
  • Enterprise asset management

In addition, units of Financial Accounting and Managerial Accounting were covered; of course these concepts surfaced in all of the other business processes as well.

The class met daily for 2 weeks from 8:30-4:30 with the exam on the last day.  Although the class size was small, the group was very successful with 6 Information Systems majors earning the SAP Certified Associate – Integration of Business Processes in SAP ERP:

  • Timothy Ayd
  • Emily Davis
  • Jeffrey (Chip) Helferstay
  • Britney Lacey
  • Brigid McGraw
  • Paige Roosa

These students demonstrated their understanding of many of the business transactions performed using SAP ERP
