Directions
Salisbury University is located on a lovely 140-acre campus in the city
of Salisbury in Wicomico County on Maryland's beautiful Eastern Shore, a
part of the Delmarva Peninsula. SU is part of the University of Maryland
System.
The city of Salisbury lies 30 miles west of the resorts at Ocean City,
Maryland, and the Assateague Island National Seashore. Salisbury is 115
miles southeast of Baltimore, Maryland, and Washington, DC. The city is
125 miles south of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and 125 miles north of
Norfolk, Virginia.
Salisbury is at the junction of
east-west U.S. Route 50 and north-south U.S. Route 13. Salisbury
University is positioned on U.S. Route 13 at the southern edge of the
city of Salisbury.
Flying to Salisbury
It is possible to fly all the way here, landing at the
Salisbury-Wicomico County Regional Airport (SBY)
connecting from Philadelphia or Charlotte, NC and rent
a car. Ask your travel agent.
Driving to Salisbury
It is possible to drive to Salisbury from north, east, west, and
south.

- From the west:
U.S. Route 50 passes west-east through
Salisbury. It is the major route between Washington, D.C., and
Ocean City, Maryland. As BUSINESS Route 50 (designated
BUS 50) passes through the center of Salisbury, eastbound
travelers will want to turn south on U.S. Business Route 13
toward Salisbury University. We are about two hours east of the
Chesapeake Bay bridge at Annapolis, Maryland.
- From the north:
U.S. Business Route 13 passes north-south through Salisbury. In
fact, it touches the eastern edge of the Salisbury University
campus. We are less than three hours south of the Philadelphia,
Pennsylvania, area.
- From the south:
U.S. Business Route 13 passes north-south through Salisbury. In
fact, it touches the eastern edge of the Salisbury University
campus. We are less than three hours north of the Norfolk,
Virginia, area.
- From the east:
Park your submarine at the Ocean City public landing, then take
U.S. Route 50 west to Salisbury. In Salisbury, follow the signs
to campus.
Traveling in Salisbury to the SU campus
Salisbury surrounds the conjunction of east-west U.S. Route 50 and
north-south U.S. Business Route 13. From the intersection of those two
major highways, follow Business Route 13 south to Salisbury University,
located on the south side of town.
Business Route 13 south is also known as Salisbury Blvd. Most Salisbury
hotels are located on Salisbury Blvd.
Travel southbound on Business Route 13 to the College Avenue stoplight
and turn right to proceed west on College Avenue. Drive west along
College Avenue.
At the first traffic signal, turn left onto southbound Camden Avenue.
