Scholarships are awarded twice annually, once for summer/fall semesters and once for winter/spring semesters.  The current call is for Winter/Spring 2010.  Award winners are determined by a combination of GPA, application essay, and demonstrated financial aid.  Winners will receive a scholarship of $250-$400 to be applied to any study abroad program approved by the SU Center for International Education.  To apply students should submit the attached application form, an unofficial copy of their transcript, and a typed essay of no more than 500 words responding to the following question:

How will my study abroad program contribute significantly to my academic career and influence future plans?

Applicants must have a current Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) on record at the SU Office of Financial Aid.  A student who does not have a FAFSA on file may attach an additional statement explaining their financial need in the absence of the FAFSA.  For more information about the Salisbury University Study Abroad Scholarship contact the Center for International Education at 410-334-3495 / sucie@salisbury.edu.
