Hello! My name is Juliana Jaeger and I am so excited to have a chance to talk to you and share my experiences as an Honors College student. I am originally from Brazil, where I lived until I was 19 years old. The relocation to the United States, a place where I barely spoke the language, was the first of the many challenges I succeeded in the last few years but a lot more was to come. I re-started my education in a local community college, where I was always eager to learn, focused in excellence and valued every opportunity along the way. I became a math/biology tutor, a student worker in the science department, an honors student and was awarded for my excellence in scholarship and leadership. When I transferred to Salisbury University, I knew the Honors College was the right place for me, as I continued to grow as a scholar. During the spring of 2016, I was supported by the Honors Program to be a speaker at the Maryland Collegiate Honors Council in Baltimore, MD and most recently was appointed to become a chemistry supplemental instruction leader. Now I feel even more prepared and eager to keep working hard in order to achieve my goal: to become a great physician. Please email me if you have any questions about the Honors College, Salisbury University, or even just to chat and share experiences!
