Science Camp@SU

Sunday, July 7th - Saturday, July 13th, 2013

The application window for the 2013 camp is now closed - we anticipate notifying applicants of their status no later than May 15th!

  • Applications can (and we strongly encourage you to do so) be submitted online! If you would like to submit a paper application, please contact one of the individuals at the bottom of this page.
  • The application process is competitive; the submission of a full application package does not guarantee you will be accepted for participation.

Are you or is someone you know entering 11th or 12th grade next year interested in science, technology, engineering, or mathematics (STEM)? This summer, high school students from across the Eastern Shore (and beyond!) will explore the world of STEM through engaging hands-on activities, laboratory experiments, workshops, team challenges, and seminars with career scientists.

Science Camp@SU is a seven-day residential camp that is free of charge to participants.  The camp will utilize problem-based and object-based learning that promotes scientific inquiry and the application of mathematics and technology in the context of engineering design and problem solving.  Camp instructors will be members of the Salisbury University faculty and tentative topics include Computer Science, Geographic Information Science, Geology, Chemistry, Physics, and Rocket Engineering.  The camp will also include field trips and other activities.
