Salisbury University is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Human Resources Specialist.
Primary Job Duties: Performs a variety of Human Resources related duties at the professional level with respect to the development, implementation, and administration of the Classification and Compensation programs and HRIS function. Support for Compensation/Classification includes policies and programs, position classification review as well as market surveys and internal data salary reviews. For HRIS, the position will maintain HRIS and employee records; enter and review HRIS entries to ensure data integrity; coordinate and prepare data files for transmission; conduct and/or coordinate required testing; create queries and prepare reports from databases; and make recommendations how to best use the HRIS system to track critical data. As appropriate, will also provide support for faculty and staff matters related to various HR functional areas and HR-facets of the employment life-cycle. Performs related work as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources or related field and three to five years of related experience; Must be detail oriented and have excellent interpersonal, customer service, organization and planning, prioritization, problem solving, follow through, time management, and oral & written communication skills; Must be flexible and possess the ability to successfully handle multiple tasks/projects simultaneously and work well under pressure, independently, and in a team-oriented environment; Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite is required.
Preferred Qualifications: SHRM-CP (PHR) and/or CCP certification and PeopleSoft experience.
This is a full-time, exempt State position with a full benefits package. Salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
