The Art Department at Salisbury University is accepting applications for the position of Lecturer for Three-Dimensional Studio Art. This is a ten month full-time position starting in Fall 2018.
Area of Specialization: Glass and Sculpture
Primary Job Duties: Teach three classes per semester in the Glass and Sculpture areas. Assist 3D area heads in facility and equipment management and maintenance. Supervise student workers and technicians. Advise students. Service to the department, school, and university. Work collegially and ensure a safe and professional working environment.
Minimum Qualifications: Master of Fine Arts (MFA) in Glass, Sculpture or related field required.
Preferred Qualifications: College or university experience teaching introductory glass and sculpture courses utilizing a variety of techniques including: foundational glass skills, hot and kiln casting, glass blowing, foundry, wood shop, mold room and metal shops. Must have basic fabrication skills and the willingness and ability to learn new skills as required. Digital technology experience is a plus.
