Salisbury University is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Registered Nurse in Student Health Services.

Primary Job Duties: The Student Health Services RN is responsible for direct patient care, triage, health education, according to standardized procedures and protocols. In addition, the RN assists the medical doctors and nurse practitioners, and helps with inventory management. Specifically, provides out-patient general nursing care to students which includes interviewing a patient and taking a health history, taking vital signs and performing a physical examination, making a judgement regarding a patient's assessment, making a nursing diagnosis and formulating a plan of care. Triage and health education to the students is also a vital part of this position. Taking a patients history and giving nursing advice to patients on the phone as well as in person and providing nursing care. Call backs to students with lab results. Immunization and allergy injections.

Minimum Qualifications: B.S.N. degree required. RN license in Maryland or compact state required. Experience in college health, school health, out patient office, emergency room or health department preferred.

Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Must be detail oriented and have excellent interpersonal, customer service, organization and planning, prioritization, problem solving, follow through, time management and oral & written communication skills. Also, must be flexible and possess the ability to successfully handle multiple tasks/projects simultaneously and work well under pressure independently and in a team-oriented environment. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint) is required.

This is a full-time, 10 month, exempt State position with a full benefits package. Salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
