Salisbury University is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Director of Student Health Services.
Primary Job Duties: As a part of the Division of Student Affairs and Student Affairs leadership team, this position provides vision, leadership and supervision of all aspects of Student Health Services.
Minimum Experience Qualifications: Five years of administrative experience required. If licensed practitioner, two or more years of patient care experience as well as clinical knowledge and skills to provide a full spectrum of general and ambulatory medical care, including acute, chronic and minor emergency problems are also required.
Preferred Experience Qualifications: Additional training or experience in Sports Medicine.
Minimum Education Qualifications: Master's degree or higher in a health-related discipline.
Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree from an accredited School of Nursing, licensed as a Registered Nurse, nationally certified as an Adult or Family Nurse Practitioner.
Desired Qualifications: Medical degree from an accredited osteopathic or medical school and unrestricted licensure to practice medicine in the State of Maryland; successful completion of approved internship and residency program; Board Certified or Eligible in Family Practice or Internal Medicine.
Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Experience with directing and supervising others; measuring the performances of people, teams and organizations, and assessing performance and progress. Ability to work effectively and build strong alliances internally and externally with a broad range of individuals; demonstrated awareness and appreciation of the cultural diversity of the University community. Exhibit fiscal responsibility of departmental budgets and allocated resources. Competency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite and related software for electronic patient management medical records system. Must be detail oriented and have excellent interpersonal, customer service, organization and planning, prioritization, problem solving, follow through, time management, and oral & written communication skills. Also, must be flexible and possess the ability to successfully handle multiple tasks/projects simultaneously and work well under pressure, independently, and in a team-oriented environment.
This is a full-time exempt State position with a full benefits package. Salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
