The Department of Management and Marketing in the Franklin P. Perdue School of Business at Salisbury University is accepting applications for a tenured position at the rank of Associate or Full Professor of Marketing. This person will serve as Chair of the Management and Marketing Department. The Department is seeking a Chair who can provide leadership, vision, and insight to dynamic and engaging faculty. The appointment as chair is a renewable three-year term. The Perdue School of Business is accredited by AACSB International and serves approximately 1400 undergraduate and graduate students in a new state of the art building. The school offers three degrees: a Masters of Business Administration, a Bachelor of Science, and a Bachelor of Arts in economics. Students pursuing a Bachelor of Science can major in accounting, business economics, finance, information systems, international business, management or marketing.
Primary Job Duties: Serve as Chair of the Department; coordinate with 17 full time faculty on departmental curriculum development; teach one course per semester; participate in academic advising; engage in scholarly work; and provide service to the Department, the University, and the Community. Utilize effective teaching and classroom management strategies which enhance the success of diverse learners
Minimum Qualifications: Earned doctorate in marketing or related field from an AACSB-accredited institution. Evidence of eligibility for appointment at associate or full professor rank.
Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Demonstrated record of teaching marketing at the undergraduate level and/or graduate-level. Experience with team leadership, curriculum development, and other academic and professional activities. Prior administrative experience is a plus.
