The Fulton School of Liberal Arts, at Salisbury University, invites applicants for the position of Site Coordinator for the Interdisciplinary Studies satellite program located at the Eastern Shore Higher Education Center, in Wye Mills, MD. This is a full-time, grant funded contractual position with benefits.

Primary Job Duties/Responsibilities
: This position will provide leadership and oversight to the satellite Interdisciplinary Studies Bachelor of Arts program located at the Eastern Shore Higher Education Center at Chesapeake College (ESHEC hereafter) and serves as the primary contact for the program. Primary job duties include teaching three academic courses throughout the calendar year at least one during each regular semester (fall and spring); advising the Interdisciplinary Studies BA students at ESHEC; assisting with curriculum development; developing/supporting recruitment initiatives for the satellite program and attending recruitment events; developing/supporting orientation and retention programs for students; and support on-site faculty/adjuncts. The coordinator will also work closely with Admissions, Financial Aid, and the Registrars Office at SU to help students make the transition into the program. Some travel required. Utilizing effective teaching and classroom management strategies which enhance the success of diverse learners.

Minimum Qualifications: Master's degree in a liberal arts area, from an accredited institution.

Preferred Qualifications: PhD in a liberal arts area. Teaching experience at the University level. Experience advising students in a higher education setting.

Desired Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
* Experience in distance or web-based instruction
* Knowledge of course management software (i.e. WebCT, Blackboard, etc.)
* Ability to communicate effectively with faculty/staff on multiple campuses
* Experience with PeopleSoft
* Ability to plan, organize, prioritize, and execute with little or no support staff

Appointment will be contingent upon verification of eligibility to work in the U.S. and is expected to begin in June, 2013.
