The Department of Nursing at Salisbury University is accepting applications for the position of Assistant or Associate Professor. Salisbury University offers undergraduate and graduate degrees in Nursing including first and second BS degree programs, an MS in Nursing with several tracks, and a new Doctor of Nursing Practice program. The quality of SU's Nursing curricula, faculty and resources is evidenced by our recent re-accreditation by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education for the maximum period.

Primary Job Duties: Teaching, engaging in scholarship and professional development, serving on departmental committees, advising students, and participating in University activities. Utilize effective teaching and classroom management strategies which enhance the success of diverse learners.

Minimum Qualifications: Doctoral degree in Nursing or a related field, or, Master's degree in nursing (hired at the rank of Instructor) with the expectation that candidate would enroll in and complete a doctoral degree within five years of hire. Must hold current, Registered Nurse License in Maryland, or be eligible for such license.

Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Specialization in child/adolescent health, with preference given to candidates who also have a background in maternal/newborn care.
