The Respiratory Therapy Program in the Department of Health Sciences at Salisbury University is accepting applications for the position of Assistant Professor. SU's RT program is the only CoARC-accredited baccalaureate program in the state of Maryland and our graduates consistently score well above the national average on NBRC board exams. The RT program is offered at the main campus in Salisbury and is delivered to distance sites by state-of-the-art technology from SU's award-wining technology facility. SU RT faculty members are expected to participate in collaborative research with other SU faculty and have the opportunity to contribute to our interdisciplinary Master of Science program Applied Health Physiology.
Primary Job Duties: Teaching across the respiratory care curriculum; conducting and supervising student research; performing university and public service; carrying out individual scholarly activity; and engaging in curriculum development and evaluation.
Minimum Qualifications: Applicants must have a PhD, MD, or equivalent degree and must be a Registered Respiratory Therapist/Educator with an earned doctoral degree.
Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Applicants must have an RRT with current experience. Candidates must demonstrate an effective teaching style that supports a diverse student body.
