Assistant Professor in Athletic Training - Faculty Position (11046)

The Department of Health and Sport Sciences is accepting applications for a 10-month tenure track position of Assistant Professor, Athletic Training.

Minimum Qualifications: Doctorate Degree in related field. If ABD, candidate must complete doctoral degree by date of hire. Board of Certification Athletic Trainer for a minimum 5 years; eligible to obtain state of Maryland Athletic Training License upon hire; two years' experience teaching athletic training classes. Prior experience as Preceptor in a CAATE accredited athletic training program.

Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Candidates must demonstrate an effective teaching style that supports a diverse student body. Computer proficiency, strong communication and organizational skills required.

Preferences: Experience teaching in entry-level Master's programs; proficiency in the use of web-based survey systems and website design; history of service as a clinical coordinator or experience educating preceptors in an athletic training program.
