Writers on the Shore Welcomes Ivan Young, Poet

Ivan Young is the author of A Shape in the Waves, winner of the 2008 South Carolina Poetry Initiative's Chapbook contest. His poems have appeared in The London Magazine, North American Review, Cream City Review, Cider Press Review, Fourteen Hills, and The Baltimore Review, among others. He is a native of South Carolina and received his M. F. A. in Creative Writing from the University of South Carolina, where he studied with the late James Dickey. He currently lives in Salisbury with his wife and two children and teaches Poetry and Creative Writing at Salisbury University.
