English Department Alumni Update:
Gill reports that he was recently accepted into the M.A. in
English as a Second Language Program at the University of
Arizona. He’ll be starting there this fall.
Gill says his time in our M.A. program
at SU was both exciting and challenging.
"At Salisbury I met a wide variety of professors who served as
both mentors and leaders within the department," he says.
"They challenged me in class to go beyond merely a sufficient
level of effort--to push harder to meet goals that would prepare
me for the next level, whether that be further academic study or
life in the real world."
enjoyed being part
of a tight-knit cohort of fellow M.A. students. "I also
found myself working with a cohort of fellow MA candidates who
were very dedicated to the program and their studies," he says.
"This generated a sense of excitement and inspiration within the
department, as we were confronting challenges individually but
within a team context. I felt a tremendous sense of camaraderie
at all levels in the department. SU's English program provides
