The Counseling Center has partnered with to offer free screenings and self-assessment for mental health concerns, including depression, anxiety, posttraumatic stress disorder, bipolar disorder, eating disorders, and alcohol problems.  These free screenings are anonymous and will help you find out whether or not a professional consultation would be helpful to you.  They are not to be substituted for an assessment by a qualified mental health professional.

When you click onto this link you will be guided through steps in completing the screenings.  First, you will select the type of screening you are interested in completing.  Several pertain to mood, such as depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety and posttraumatic stress disorder; one to alcohol use and another to eating problems.  Next, you will be prompted to answer some questions about your background.  There is no personally identifying information included in the screenings so as to insure anonymity.  Finally, you will be asked a series of questions aimed at screening for problems related to depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, posttraumatic stress disorder, alcohol abuse, or eating disorders, depending on which screening you selected.  Each screening will only take a few minutes and you can complete as many as you like.  Results will indicate if further assessment is recommended.

If you suspect you have a problem in any of the areas targeted in the screenings or with any other emotional or psychological issue, you should schedule an appointment at the Counseling Center to have an assessment and to find out more about what resources including counseling might be helpful to you. The Counseling Center is located in room 263 of the Guerrieri University Center.  The phone number is 410-543-6070.
