Student Counseling Services does not monitor or endorse the websites listed below.  Information from these pages should not be substituted for assessment and counseling from a mental health care provider but may serve an educational function.  If you have questions or concerns related to the issues presented below, you may want to make an appointment with a counselor at Student Counseling Services.  You may contact us at 410-543-6070 or stop by our office in the GUC, RM 263. Our office is open Monday-Friday 8:00 AM-5:00 PM. You are also welcome to stop by the office and utilize our self help library.

Mental Health & Health Concerns:

  Virtual Pamphlet Collection (non-SU) Review brochures on a wide range of topics.  Brochures are compiled from colleges and universities across the country.
  Go Ask Alice

Go Ask Alice is a helpful health question and answer  site published by Columbia University. Students may present questions on topics ranging from alcohol and other substance use to sexuality.

Eating Disorders:

  ANRED, Inc. (non-SU) ANRED is an Informational resource that reviews information on the following topics:
Anorexia Nervosa, Bulimia Nervosa, binge eating disorder, and other less known eating disorders.

Substance Abuse:

  Rational Recovery (non-SU) This site offers an alternative way of dealing with many addictions including, Alcohol and Drug Abuse.
  Alcoholics Anonymous (non-SU) A 12 Step program for overcoming dependencies.
  Alcohol and Drug Abuse SU offers resources for drug and alcohol addiction.

 

Depression & Suicide:

  The Jed Foundation (non-SU) This site offers resources tailored to the needs of college students. It is a foundation specifically set up to help young adults with depression.
