Credit Evaluation Policies

Transfer students from accredited colleges enrolled in transfer programs will receive credit for the work they have completed, with few exceptions. Evaluations of students' previous coursework will be forwarded to them within several weeks of their admission.

Credit by Examination
College Level Examination Program (CLEP) and Advanced Placement (AP) credit will be evaluated based on individual scores. For more information regarding AP and CLEP credit, please visit the Registrar's Credit by Examination website.

ARTSYS
ARTSYS is a computerized data information system for Maryland community college students. It indicates whether the course is transferable and, if so, indicates the four-year institution's equivalent course number.
