Your application to Salisbury should include:

  • Submission of your online application for admission
  • Official high school transcript
  • Official standardized test results (SAT and/or ACT)
  • Personal statement/essay, letter(s) of recommendation, secondary school counselor's report form, and/or any supplementary materials that you feel would assist us in evaluating your application

There is a $50.00 application fee.

Note:  Students applying under the University's Test-Optional Policy are not required to submit standardized test results.

When to Apply

Salisbury University has four different admissions plans under which freshman applicants are considered:

Early Decision is the best option if you are a high school senior and you are certain that Salisbury University is the institution you would like to attend. In this case, students should submit their application and all required materials (including official SAT or ACT scores and an official high school transcript) by November 15. Decisions are made by December 15 and a non-refundable $200 deposit is required by February 15. If you are admitted to SU under this option, you will need to withdraw all other college applications as Early Decision is a “binding” agreement. If Financial Aid will be a factor in your decision to attend SU, you should NOT apply early decision.

Early Action is for high school seniors who submit their application and all required materials (including official SAT or ACT scores and an official high school transcript) by December 1. Decisions are made by January 15 and a non-refundable $200 deposit is required by May 1. As a deposit is not required until May 1, Early Action is considered a "non-binding" agreement.

Regular Admission is available for students who submit all required application materials for admission (including official SAT or ACT scores and an official high school transcript) by a recommended deadline of February 1. Candidates are notified of the admission decision by March 15. Those who are admitted have until May 1 to confirm their acceptance by submitting a non-refundable $200 deposit. Applications received after the January 15th deadline will be considered on a space-available basis. The University reserves the right to close admissions when the projected enrollment is met.

Early Admission is an admission option for academically talented high school juniors who wish to "skip" their entire senior year. Students who are completing their junior year of high school may be considered for acceptance into the regular University program provided they present evidence of outstanding academic achievement. The requirements for admission under the Early Admission Plan include a competitive grade point average and competitive SAT or ACT scores with our applicant pool, rigorous courses, a positive recommendation from the student’s high school, and a certification of eligibility for a high school diploma. A personal interview with the SU Office of Admissions is required.
